The 2021 Guinness Six Nations guarantees thrills, spills and plenty of drama – and Scotland are set to be in the thick of it once again.

With three home games back on the agenda, along with trips to London and Paris, the Calcutta Cup holders have much to look forward to in another thrilling Championship.

But how does their 2021 fixture list shape up?

ROUND ONE – ENGLAND V SCOTLAND (A)

Who could forget Scotland’s last trip to Twickenham, which ended in a record-breaking 38-38 draw?

The home of English Rugby has hardly been a happy hunting ground for Scotland, with their last win coming in 1983, but they powered back from 31-7 down to lead 38-31 – only for George Ford’s last-gasp try to rescue a draw for England.

Still, that result meant Gregor Townsend’s men retained the Calcutta Cup and will fuel them with belief that the trophy will once again be in their possession when they leave England in 2021.

When is it being played?

Saturday, February 6, 4.45pm GMT

ROUND TWO – SCOTLAND V WALES (H)

A tough assignment awaits Scotland in Round Two as they host 2019 Grand Slam winners Wales.

Scotland have a winning record in this contest on home turf but Wales have enjoyed a sustained period of success this century, winning on six visits to Scotland since 2001, including 18-11 in 2019.

The two sides will play for the Doddie Weir Cup, named in honour of the former Scotland lock who is raising awareness for Motor Neurone disease.

ROUND THREE – FRANCE V SCOTLAND (A)

Like Twickenham, Paris has also proven to be a tough nut to crack for Scotland – they are without a win there since 1999.

France were the victors on their last visit, with Romain Ntamack starring in a 27-10 win in the 2019 Guinness Six Nations.

That meeting was also played during Round Three and the visitors will hope that is not a bad omen.

ROUND 4 – SCOTLAND V IRELAND (H)

After the second rest week, it’s full steam ahead to the final two rounds which starts with Ireland’s trip across the Irish Sea.

Scotland lost to Ireland in this fixture in 2019, with tries from Conor Murray, Jacob Stockdale and Keith Earls carrying the visitors to a 22-13 win in Round Two.

Scotland edge the overall head-to-head record and will hope to notch another W in the win column to take into Round Five.

Sunday, March 14, 3pm GMT

ROUND 5 – SCOTLAND V ITALY (H)

Super Saturday is one of the great rugby days of the year and 2021 will be no different, with three games back-to-back.

Scotland kick things off at home when they host Italy, a side they beat comfortably at BT Murrayfield in 2019.

Blair Kinghorn was the star of the show with a hat-trick the last time these two sides met in the Championship on this side of the North Sea. Scotland fans will be praying for a repeat result.

When is it being played?
