Six Nations Rugby will continue to show its unwavering unity with the people of Ukraine during Round 3 of this year’s Championship.

Six Nations Rugby will continue to show its unwavering unity with the people of Ukraine during Round 3 of this year’s Championship.

At each fixture this weekend, to mark one year since the aggressive invasion of Ukraine by Russa, Six Nations Rugby and all teams will invite fans to mark the solemn occasion with a moment of silence ahead of kick off.

Last year, all six unions and federations, together with the entire rugby family stood in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and this year, moments of silence will be joined by in stadia amplification of messages of support as a mark of respect.

Rugby has always been a sport for all, forged on clear values and principles. These are shared by a community of people, players and fans who refuse to stand by in the face of discrimination and in the case of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, acts of violence and persecution.

With hundreds of millions of fans tuning in to watch the top teams in world rugby competing in rugby’s greatest Championships, Six Nations Rugby, alongside its unions and federations, will continue to use the platform of its Championships to show solidarity with Ukraine.
