The opening two rounds of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations have already provided plenty of viral moments and what better way to follow what’s hot and what’s not than TikTok!
The Guinness Six Nations TikTok account entertains more than 133,000 followers with videos capturing the action, passion and intensity of the Championship – as well as its lighter moments!
And with two weekends of enthralling drama in the books, we have had a look at some of our favourite TikToks from the first two rounds of Rugby’s Greatest Championship.
1. A WHITE-HOT DEBUT…
Come on for your first international cap earlier than expected? Score a scintillating opening try? Help Scotland retain the Calcutta Cup? All in a day’s work for scrum-half Ben White.
2. BUT FINN’S PRETTY CHILLED ABOUT IT ALL
Not even a tense victory over rivals England could make Scotland fly-half Finn Russell lose his cool as he basked in the moment after the hosts prevailed 20-17 in Edinburgh.
3. HE’S ONLY 23?!
Marcus Smith has lit up the Guinness Six Nations so far with 30 points in his first two Championship games. As if that were not impressive enough, the England fly-half only turned 23 the day after Round Two. What a career he has ahead of him.
4. FRENCH FLAIR
The Italy defence rushed up quickly but Romain Ntamack and Damian Penaud’s hands were even faster as the Les Bleus duo brilliantly set up a try for Gabin Villière.
5. CELEBRITY FANS
The Guinness Six Nations is perfect for new rugby fans and Teen Wolf star Orny Adams is one of the many enjoying the action. He is even offering some alternative commentary!
6. IRISH DANCING IN PARIS
The Super Bowl had the best half-time show last weekend, you say? We beg to differ.
7. SORRY, SIR!
For once, Italy magician Paolo Garbisi’s distribution got him into trouble.
8. IT’S BEEN FAR TOO LONG
After a two-year drought, the return of the Welsh anthem in the Guinness Six Nations in front of a packed Principality Stadium was a sight – and sound – to behold.
Yet when it comes to passionate anthem delivery, no one can hold a candle to Italy skipper Michele Lamaro.
9. MACK HANSEN!
Rugby meets Gaelic football?! That’s how you respond to going 10-0 down early!
10. NO BIGGAR MOMENT
Sometimes, three points is all you need. Wales captain Dan Biggar’s clinical drop goal earned a surprise win against Scotland in Round 2.
Six Nations Rugby and TikTok announced a landmark partnership in January that will see the entertainment platform become the Title Partner of the Women’s Six Nations, as well as an Official Partner to the Guinness Six Nations and Autumn Nations Series, from the 2022 season through to 2025.
