A buoyant Wales will then welcome Scotland to Cardiff Arms Park at 4.45pm on Saturday, with the visitors eager to bounce back from an opening day defeat against old rivals England.

And Sunday will see defending champions England travel to Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi to take on Italy as Simon Middleton’s side look to continue their impressive unbeaten run.

So it goes without saying that Thursday and Friday will be crucial days for fans and players alike as the coaches name their matchday squads ahead of the weekend.

Thursday will be an important day ahead of Round 2, with four teams due to announce their matchday squads for the Saturday games in the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations.

Both France and Ireland will name their squads for the clash in Toulouse by 2.15pm on Thursday.

France got off to a flying start in this year’s Championship, beating Italy 39-6 in Round 1.

And after such an impressive performance, it will be interesting to see if Annick Hayraud makes any adjustments to her squad come Thursday.

On the other hand, Ireland will be looking to bounce back from a losing start to the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations after they went down 27-19 to Wales in Dublin.

That was Wales’ first Championship win since 2019 as they also picked up a try bonus point.

Wales welcome Scotland to Cardiff this weekend and Ioan Cunningham and Bryan Easson will name their sides for Saturday’s fixture by 4.45pm on Thursday.
