Ireland scored three tries to lead England 21-5 at half-time as they closed in on the Grand Slam in the final round of the 2018 NatWest 6 Nations.

But it was a piece of magic from Johnny Sexton that helped the Irish open their account at Twickenham.

The fly-half’s huge up-and-under was spilled by Anthony Watson near the tryline under pressure from Rob Kearney’s challenge.

Watson’s attempt to dot down then saw the ball come off his head, allowing Garry Ringrose to dive over and claim the decisive touch.

The try was reviewed by the TMO in a lengthy inquest, but Kearney’s challenge was judged to be legitimate and replays confirmed Ringrose had been successful.
