The destination of the trophy is still to be decided, with England and France facing off in a Grand Slam-showdown on Super Saturday in front of a world record crowd for a women’s international.
Both teams have won their first four matches, with England scoring 233 points in the process and France weighing in with a healthy 169, while they have been as tight in defence as they have electric in attack, with a combined 44 points conceded.
Marlie Packer and Abby Dow top the current try-scorers chart with five apiece, while Claudia MacDonald, Jess Breach and France’s Gabrielle Vernier are just one behind, meaning players from across the Championship will be desperate for one final big performance.
Wales have also enjoyed another promising campaign, with wins against Ireland and Scotland in Rounds 1 and 2, and will hope to finish strongly against Italy.
Italy got off the mark against Ireland in Round 3 and know a victory could push them as high as fourth, while Scotland and Ireland round out the Championship in Super Saturday’s final game.
