Centurion Ben Youngs marked his 100th England cap in style with an outstanding pair of tries at Stadio Olimpico, as Eddie Jones’ side secured a bonus-point victory over Italy.
The Leicester Tigers man marked his milestone appearance with a try just five minutes into the match in Rome, as he followed up a break by Owen Farrell to cross for the early score.
That made it 15 tries in the white shirt of his country for the 31-year-old, and number 16 wasn’t too far behind, with another sensational score at the start of the second half, as he left the Italian defence for dead.
A dummy from the breakdown saw Youngs scamper past the hosts’ backline, before another dazzling piece of footwork left Matteo Minozzi grasping at thin air.
It was the perfect way for the scrum-half to bring up his ton on the international stage, as he continued to lead by example to break down a resolute Azzurri defence to secure the all-important bonus point victory.
