However, there was plenty of domestic action across the women’s leagues with games in both Italy and Wales taking place.

Here’s what happened last weekend:

Colorno continue perfect start

Rugby Colorno continued their invincible start to the season by claiming a fifth successive league victory without conceding a single point with a massive 70-0 away win over Benetton Treviso.

The Parma-based side have notched up an incredible 322 points this season in Serie A Group 1 – almost more than the bottom five sides combined.

In the battle for second place Villorba Rugby came through on top against Vasugana Rugby Padova with a tight 12-5 victory.

Rugby Monza 1949 recorded their first win of the season by beating bottom of the league Verona 38-0.

Meanwhile in Group 2, Union R. Capitolina maintained their perfect start to the season with a comprehensive 64-0 win over bottom of the table Montevirginio Mini Rugby.

The league leaders have racked up 293 points this season, only conceding three points all campaign.

In the clash between second and third, neither side could be separated as CUS Ferrara Rugby drew 10-10 with Rugby Bologna 1928.

Welsh Premiership battles on

Llandaff North moved to the top of the Welsh Premiership with a dominant 52-0 victory over winless Gwernyfed.

The only North Wales side in the division, Caernarfon RFC, came close to recording their first win of the season but were narrowly edged out by top of the table Pencoed RFC in a 24-21 loss.

The All-Ireland League were not in action last weekend as Ireland prepare to face USA at Energia Park on Sunday.

While the English Tyrrells Premier 15s were also not in action, with England claiming an impressive 57-5 victory over USA.

France’s Elite 1 are also not scheduled to play until December with the national side set to play New Zealand on Saturday.

Scotland’s Tennent’s Women’s Premier League also had no fixtures scheduled with Scotland preparing to take on Canada at Scotstoun on 27 November.
