KILDUNNE NAMED PLAYER OF THE ROUND FOR SECOND TIME

KILDUNNE POTR
England's fullback extraordinaire Ellie Kildunne has been voted Player of the Round following the fourth weekend of Guinness Women's Six Nations action.

The 24-year-old from Yorkshire won the fan vote in round one, and her consistently exceptional performances for the Red Roses in this year's Championship have already won her three Player of the Match awards.

Against Ireland at Twickenham on Saturday in round four, Kildunne scored a hat-trick and was the last line of a defence that stopped Ireland from scoring a physical try (they were awarded a penalty try in the first half).

Kildunne, who plays her club rugby for Harlequins in the PWR, is not only the top points scorer in this year's competition thanks to her nine tries (teammate Abby Dow is four behind in second): she also tops the stats for carries, metres carried, metres gained, and linebreaks.

England travel to Bordeaux this Super Saturday for a Grand Slam decider against France, and on her current form, Les Bleues will do well to contain a player who has scored at least two tries per match so far in this campaign.
