Many storylines will be playing out across the three matches this Super Saturday.

While the grand finale itself will take place last at Stade Chaban-Delmas in Bordeaux between the unbeaten duo of France and England, there is a lot riding on the preceding two games.

This includes automatic qualification for RWC 2025, which will be hosted in England, and securing the last spot in WXV2.

Here's how things currently stand in the Championship table.

So what do the four teams below England and France have to do to secure either a place at England 2025, or that place in WXV2?

Third-Place Permutations – Automatic qualification for RWC2025

Scotland

  • Scotland will come third if they beat Ireland with a Bonus Point (BP)

  • Scotland will come third if they beat Ireland with no BP

  • Scotland will come third if they draw against Ireland with a BP, and Italy beat Wales (no BP) or Italy draw or lose to Wales

  • Scotland will come third if they draw (no BP) or lose to Ireland with two BPs, and Italy draw or lose to Wales

  • Scotland will come third if they draw (no BP) or lose to Ireland with BPs, have a greater points difference to Italy if Italy beat Wales (no BP)

Italy

  • Italy will come third if they beat Wales with a Bonus Point (BP), and Ireland only beat Scotland (no BP)

  • Italy will come third if they beat Wales with a BP, and their points difference is greater than Ireland if Ireland beat Scotland with a BP

  • Italy will come third if they beat Wales with No BP, their points difference is greater then Ireland if Ireland beat Scotland with No BP

Ireland

  • Ireland will come third if they beat Scotland with a BP, and Italy only beat Wales (no BP)

  • Ireland will come third if they beat Scotland with a BP, and their points difference is greater than Italy if Italy beat Wales with a BP

  • Ireland will come third if they beat Scotland with no BP, and their points difference is greater than Italy if Italy beat Wales with no BP

Sixth-Place Permutations – Play-off match on 29th June for last spot in WXV2

Italy

Italy will come 6th if they lose to Wales with no BP, and Ireland lose to Scotland with no BP, and Ireland and Wales have a greater points difference = WXV2 Play-off against Spain.

Ireland

Ireland will come 6th if they lose to Scotland with no BP, and Wales beat Italy with a BP, and Italy and Wales have a greater points difference = WXV2 Play-off against Spain.

Wales

  • Wales will come 6th if they draw or lose to Italy = WXV 2 Playoff against Spain.

  • Wales will come 6th if they beat Italy with no BP = WXV 2 Playoff against Spain.

  • Wales will come 6th if they beat Italy with a BP, and Italy get no BP, and Ireland lose to Scotland with no BP, but Ireland and Italy have a greater points difference = WXV2 Play-off against Spain.

  • Wales will come 5th if they beat Italy with a BP, and Italy get no BP, and Ireland lose to Scotland with no BP, and they have a greater points difference than Ireland and Italy = WXV2 Qualification.
