The breakthroughs for Irish back rower Aoife Wafer keep coming.

The 21-year-old from Ballygarrett, County Wexford, has not only been voted Guinness Women's Six Nations Player of the Round for consecutive rounds, but her score against Wales has been voted the fans' Try of the Round too.

Wafer spearheaded Ireland's thrilling demolition job on Wales in Cork last weekend as Scott Bemand's side claimed a 36-5 win, their first victory of this year's Championship. Unsurprisingly, she was named Player of the Match on that occasion.

The statistics help to illustrate Wafer's effectiveness in Ireland's three matches so far. She has made the fifth most metres of any player (190.1), the third most carries (38), sits joint-second for tries scored (two), joint-second for line breaks (5, along with England wing Abby Dow), and is joint-third for breakdown steals (three).

Wafer and her team now look forward to a mammoth match at Twickenham Stadium this weekend against England. On current form, Wafer could prove more than a handful against the favourites at the home of English Rugby.
