France Women have named a largely similar squad for the upcoming clash with Scotland with manager Annick Hayraud calling for a reaction from her team.

Last year’s Grand Slam champions were beaten by England in Round Two, ending their hopes of a second successive clean sweep.

Despite that Hayraud believes the team is capable of responding, with the only changes to the 25-woman squad being the inclusion of fly-half Emma Coudert and the return of Laura Touye for the injured Agathe Sochat.

Hayraud said: “We agreed with the staff that the players have our complete confidence. We don’t want to blame anyone, whether it’s the older players or the newer ones.

“The idea is that if this France Women team is a great team, then we will be able to bounce back immediately.

“On the choice of players, we couldn’t pick Agathe Sochat as she is injured. In terms of Emma Coudert’s call-up, she had been with the development sevens side but she is now available so it makes sense that she is back for the Scotland game.”
