Scotland Women have opted for continuity as they prepare for Saturday night’s Women’s Six Nations match against France at Glasgow’s Scotstoun Stadium.

The starting XV is the same as that which would have faced Italy in Round 3 a fortnight ago in a match that was postponed due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus.

Captain Rachel Malcolm lines up at blindside flanker, taking her place alongside Jade Konkel and Rachel McLachlan in the back row.

Elsewhere in the pack, Lana Skeldon is set to win her 40th cap in the front row.

In the backs, Mairi McDonald will link up with Helen Nelson at half-back and Lisa Thomson lines up next to Hannah Smith in the centres.

Scotland are looking for their first win of the Championship, while France sit second with two wins from their three games so far.

Scotland head coach Philip Doyle said: “We are under no illusion that this is going to be a tough challenge against France.

“The squad are in a really good place and are just eager to get on the field and focus on the match ahead.

“We are in a fortunate position to have no new injuries so we didn’t feel the need to change the team at all following the selection for Italy.

“Following the postponement of the Italy match, they are all just really looking forward to playing on Saturday and are feeling fresh after the break.”

Saturday’s match kicks off at 7.45pm.
